Dear Friends,
As promised, we want to share an update with you about our 2020 summer retreat season at the Feathered Pipe Ranch. With most states now in the process of reopening, we have been discussing with all teachers what is the proper direction to take concerning their week at the Ranch. Montana, as of July 1st, has moved into stage 2 of our reopening process, with groups of up to 50 being allowed with
appropriate social distancing. Up to now, Montana has continued to be able to effectively minimize the spread of the virus through proactive social distancing, testing and monitoring.
Considering this, and that many states as well appear to be lessening the spread through prudent and mindful safety protocol, we are tentatively planning to move forward with all programs (excluding Baxter & Melina's program) from The Mindful Unplug, 11 - 18 July, this summer. With our teachers’ insightful recommendations, we have come up with a clear and enhanced
safety protocol for all aspects of your retreat program from shuttle services, dining, accommodation, and activities. Here is an overview. (We will share a complete and detailed list in the coming weeks.)
- All programs will have a maximum of 24 participants.
- Social distancing should be practiced at all times.
- Face-masks will be required in all indoor communal facilities. The teacher will define the safety protocol during classes.
- All accommodations will be single occupancy, unless friends/partners have come together and wish to room together. For those who have reserved or are desiring to reserve a specific accommodation, we will reserve accommodation choices at last year’s accommodation upgrade fee prices (all retreat page has been updated accordingly) to ease financial stress. Otherwise, lodging
choices will be assigned according to the date registered (earliest to latest) at the base tuition rate (no upgrade fee) for each retreat program. As indoor accommodations are limited, there may be the rare occasion where Main Lodge dorm rooms may have two people sharing if both are ok with this. Please know we will do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs.
- Bodywork & massage services will be available with a focus on non-touch Reiki/energy work and Tibetan singing bowls healing work. The sauna and hot tub will be closed for everyone’s safety.
- Ability to sanitize your mat with a UV sanitizer will be available, and props will be assigned to each registrant for the entire week.
- Hand-sanitizers will be readily available and easily accessible in all facilities.
- If PCR viral tests are easily available in your area, we strongly recommend that you get tested before coming.
- All final payments will not be due until 2 weeks before your program, in case there is a resurgence of the virus.
Please know our intention is to make your week at the Ranch as stress-free, healing and easeful as possible. If we all come with a common understanding and agreement, we feel that our time together at the Ranch can be one of healing refuge and community, practicing and exploring how we can best support each in finding rejuvenation and joy.
All cancelled 2020 programs have rescheduled dates set already for 2021. For those not feeling comfortable with travel this summer, feel free to register early and reserve your desired lodging choice for next summer. The entire 2021 schedule will be announce later in the season. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, enjoy this delightful interview with our dear friend Erich Schiffmann! Also consider joining Energy Medicine Yoga's Lauren Walker for a free online event on Saturday.
Please take best care, be safe, and we look forward to seeing you at the Ranch!
Love & Gratitude,
Feathered Pipe Foundation
