Dear Friends,

We are reaching out with a few fun announcements…

Feathered Pipe’s Main Hall Online

Last week we launched our Feathered Pipe Main Hall Online Series that in the coming months will provide a collection of live, interactive mini-workshops featuring beloved teachers from our upcoming 2026 Ranch retreat season. It’s a great way to try out different teachers and styles of yoga, right from your own home and to join up with the Feathered Pipe Community. And it’s FREE!

Huge thank you to Elise Browning Miller for teaching the first class! And thank you to the more than 150 people who attended from all over the world. If you missed it, you can watch the recording on our website. Elise and Susan-Elena Esquivel will be teaching in-person at Feathered Pipe Ranch in August.

Nat Kendall will lead the next class in the Main Hall Series on February 7 at 2pm PT / 3pm MT / 4pm CT / 5pm ET. Nat has been teaching at Feathered Pipe Ranch for nearly a decade and will return this summer.

-- Nat Kendall brings a deep well of wisdom and devotion to his practice, offering teachings that resonate with both beginners and seasoned practitioners alike. Through a graceful interweaving of Hatha and Bhakti Yoga, Nat effortlessly brings one to experience the Divine within oneself, all beings, and world that surrounds.

Register here to reserve your spot.

As well, please feel free to visit our Feathered Pipe Main Hall Online webpage to view the schedule of upcoming Main Hall classes and to watch previous classes. Note that the class times are indicated in the time zone of the teacher so we recommend double checking.

2026 Scholarship Program

Feathered Pipe Foundation is offering $60,000 of scholarships—thanks to many donors and supporters—towards 2026 hosted retreats.

For those interested in attending a Feathered Pipe hosted retreat program and having real financial need in making that happen, please consider applying for a 2026 Feathered Pipe Scholarship.

Scholarship application period is February 14 – 28, 2026. We will notify you of the results of your application by email by March 7, 2026.

If you’re offered a scholarship, you will need to register for the retreat by March 21, 2026, and pay a non-refundable $500 deposit. Any remaining balance is due eight weeks before the retreat starts with an awarded scholarship applied to the remaining balance due.

Scholarships apply to a specific workshop, and may not be applied retroactively to existing registrations. Please help spread the word to anyone you think may be interested in applying.

Looking forward to connecting with you all!

With love and gratitude,
Crystal Water
Executive Director of Feathered Pipe Foundation

The Power of In-Person Practice – Lizzie Lasater

When we feel safe—when we are held in a calm, regulated environment—the vagus nerve sends signals to slow the heart rate, deepen the breath, and reduce muscle tension. This is the parasympathetic nervous system in action: the part of the autonomic nervous system responsible for rest, repair, and digestion.
