“As a couple of really good song writers once said, “And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make.” India’s life affirmed the truth of those words—and I’m honored to have been a part of what she created with that love with the Feathered Pipe.
~ John Schumacher
Dear Friends,
This year marks our 50th year of yoga, health, and wellness programs at the Feathered Pipe Ranch. What started as a “hippie dream” with little else beyond a whole lot of heart and effort, has come to be known throughout America and beyond as the
premier destination for going deep into one’s self, one’s practice, and what it truly means to live in community.
During this past winter and spring, we have been in the process of putting together a commemorative magazine that will set the groundwork for a much larger archival project, documenting the miraculous and oh, so rewarding journey we have travelled with you all. We have compiled a list of all the incredible souls who have taught at the Ranch and on our various travel programs. Three hundred trailblazers in
yoga, well-being, conscious living have graced us with their presence over the past fifty years!
A Very Special Opportunity
Of these remarkable teachers, we are honored to welcome back two of the leading lights within the Iyengar Yoga tradition, Patricia Walden and John Schumacher. As many of you know, Patricia and John taught together for many years at the Ranch from the late 80s to the early 2000s, with many of those programs having sixty plus participants. Imagine that in the days before we had
a dining hall – all enjoying community and wondrous food under open-air canopies!
This year’s program, which commences immediately following the 50th Anniversary Celebration (all are welcome), will be a much more intimate affair – one of deep exploration of how devout practice brings one to profound experience of the soul. It is also intended to be a week-long lovefest of appreciation for two of our dearest presenters who have impacted so many lives in such
a
positive way.
In order to facilitate your joining us for this incredible opportunity, we continue to offer scholarships of $500-750 for their program through Wednesday, April 30. Please consider joining us to welcome home John and Patricia.
Hope to see you this summer!
With faith & effort,
Eric D Myers

Prakriti: Understanding the Ayurvedic Path to Well-Being – Melina Meza
Within the art of Ayurveda, there will never be one remedy or one sequence that brings everyone or their dosha back into alignment. The response to every inquiry about your health is that “It depends,” as my teacher, Dr. Robert Svoboda, was so fond of saying.
