It’s the people—the remarkable staff—whose dedication and spirit breathe life into every retreat, every gathering, and every moment of connection beneath Montana skies.

After reading through the countless pieces of feedback we’ve received from you, our cherished guests, one consistent theme shines through—the praise for our staff. Time and again, you acknowledged and celebrated their hard work, resourcefulness, and compassion.

It was a delight witnessing firsthand how the staff touched the lives of those who came to The Mindful Unplug retreat and hearing how their presence rippled through their stay. But as the weeks passed, I found myself more and more moved by the deep, personal connections that emerged between our guests and staff as reflected in guest feedback from so many programs. Your words painted a vivid picture of how our team goes above and beyond, embodying the spirit of kindness and genuine care.

At Feathered Pipe, we’ve long known that our retreat experience is unique, not only because of the world-class teachers and programs, but because of the land itself. The Ranch’s natural beauty and serenity have always been a vital element in the healing and transformation that takes place here. But this year, something special has come into sharper focus: what truly elevates each guest’s stay is the warmth, dedication, and energy that our staff brings to every moment.

Janis Paulsen: Beloved Visionary Committed to the Elevation of Human Consciousness

Among the small group of young, bold-thinking visionaries whose imaginations and creativity created the Feathered Pipe Foundation was a quiet, intelligent, and gifted young woman named Janis Paulsen. At the tender age of 26, she and William “Golden” Staniger met India Supera in San Francisco. Soon after, India invited them to join her and their small community of seekers and visionaries to the land that would later become the Feathered Pipe Ranch.
