"The Ranch is our lives. And the energy of Feathered Pipe is contained because we’re in a private little valley that’s been spiritually-oriented, yoga-oriented and consciousness-oriented for 45 years. That energy builds up, and people feel it."
~ Howard Levin
Dear Friends,
Thanks to all of you, our year's end Continuing the Feathered Pipe Dream Fundraiser was a smashing success! We are excited to announce that we are already manifesting the dream by putting these funds directly towards making our programs more accessible—through Feathered Pipe's Scholarship Program and The Dandelion Effect Podcast—and improving our facilities with a new staff yurt.
Scholarship Program for 2022 Hosted Retreats at the Ranch
We are thrilled to have expanded our Scholarship Program to be able to offer $30,000 of scholarships this year! Through this program we open up our offerings to those with the heart and dream to come, but who need some financial assistance.
The applications are now open and the deadline for the first round of scholarships is February 28. After that the applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis but will be limited by remaining funds available. The scholarships typically cover 25-70% of the tuition and accommodations for a weeklong program.
If you'd like financial help to make your Feathered Pipe Dream come true, please apply as early as possible. We invite everyone to share this with others who you think have a true financial need and a commitment to attending. Apply here.
Contributions to our scholarship fund can be made at any time. Through your generosity, the doors of Feathered Pipe Ranch become more widely open. Contribute here.
The Dandelion Effect Podcast Season 2 is in full swing!
Through our Dandelion Effect Podcast we share empowering wisdom from our guests. We see the podcast as a vehicle for making our programs truly accessible to all as we offer the podcast free of charge and also ad-free to our listeners. Thanks to
our donors and guests who have made this possible!
In episode 4 of season 2, Jessica Bugbee joins us to talk about The Way of the Female Warrior. Jessica served as a combat medic and paratrooper during her seven years of active duty, and has been on a monumental healing journey since returning to the States, navigating life after the military and finding her way through Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and the myriad ways
that trauma presents in the mind and body.
In case you've missed previous episodes from either season, you may just want to explore them. Each one offers something unique and meaningful. You may laugh, your awareness may be awakened, and you may even come to understand how lentils—yes, lentils—could bring a person to tears. Sometimes I wish I could bottle the episodes up and keep them with me all the time. Explore here.
Yay, Loose Moose Yurt is on the way!
We've placed the order for "Loose Moose Yurt," a 20-foot Eco Yurt from Montana's own Shelter Designs and hope to have it ready for use during the summer as essential staff housing. We are
super excited about this new addition. Not only are yurts beautiful, but they also offer a comfortable and dry space to stay while immersed in nature. This is part of our ongoing larger initiative of making important improvements to the Ranch facilities and services.
It is simply wonderful to be able to start manifesting all of these projects so quickly and is inspiring to see how people can accomplish so much together with heart, participation, and teamwork.
We are so looking forward to seeing you at the Ranch. If you haven't yet had a chance, you may want to check out our full workshop lineup, including our most recent additions. Beginning June 1st and in full swing until October 1st, what an incredibly diverse and inspired lineup of teachers and program!
With gratitude,
Crystal Water

Jessica Bugbee: The Way Of The Female Warrior
Jessica Bugbee is a U.S. Army combat veteran, wellness director at Hudson Valley National Center for Veteran Reintegration, and co-founder of TRIBE, a non-profit that teaches yoga and meditation to the active duty military community.
In today’s conversation, we talk about her life of service, where it started and who inspired it, her experience in the Army, the ways that her military experiences—while technically “over”—are not at all over, and which modalities and healing techniques have helped her overcome and move through anger, anxiety, depression, substance abuse and heartbreaking loneliness over the last seven years since her discharge.

Feathered Pipe Scholarship Fund: Creating Tomorrow’s Leaders
The objective of the fund is to assist those who have the intention and heart but may not have the financial ability, through educational scholarships to afford participation in one of our health, wellness and self-empowerment programs. We believe the best way to create the sustainable and cooperative communities we dream of starts with the individual. The scholarship fund goes right to the heart of our philosophy and mission.
